Why using a Cast List for your Employment Tribunal can help your case
The purpose of a Tribunal Cast List is to help the Judge and others in understanding the facts of the case quickly by knowing who was involved in the events on which the claim is based. Simply put, it is a list of witnesses associated with your case.
Examples of when to use a Cast List for your Employment Tribunal
The Tribunal may ask for a Cast List for the Final Hearing. Even if they don’t, then especially if there are lots of people involved, it’s worth preparing a Cast List and giving the Respondent and the Tribunal a copy. The following are a few examples of when a Cast List may be used for the Tribunal:
Reese’s ET1 mentions about 10 different people and they decide it would be helpful to the Tribunal to have a Cast List detailing all of their names and job titles.
Ahead of the Final Hearing, Reese decides to prepare a Cast List setting out everyone’s names and job titles.
Martin has his Final Hearing coming up and the Tribunal have ordered him to cooperate with the Respondent to prepare a Cast List.
He prepares a Cast List using Valla, and then sends this to the Respondent to agree before this is provided to the Tribunal.
